What an amazing, well set-up house that was perfect for our group of 12. The woodburner made the house feel like summer. Such a pleasure to go to a house where thought has clearly been put into creating a home away from home. p.s. Cute neighbour's cat but don't leave your trout outside. szeen Stayed June 2014, User Rating: 5 Stars

This property was amazing. We had four families staying whilst we cheered on friends doing the Epic. The children found the house and location was an absolute dream - foosball table, stairs, trampoline and massive backyard for cricket and rugby and there is an amazing playground just across the road, shop and the local hotel. Whilst the children were very happy, the parents were able to relax in a spacious living area kept toastie warm by the fire. The house had everything you needed from the wine glasses to platters, dishwasher and bbq. Relaxation oozes from this cute and tastefully decorated house. We had a superb weekend and would recommend it to everyone. Thank you for sharing your paradise. Flannery Clan Stayed April 2014, User Rating: 5 Stars

The proximity to the Tennis Courts, Shop and Pub made the stay easy. The pool was a highlight for our kids (and us) during our stay because the weather wasn't nice enough for boating, and swimming in the lake was off the cards. The huge back yard was great for a lazy game of cricket and for kids to ride around on their bikes out of the wind. The house was very modern and clean and easy to relax in, overall a wonderful stay.  Mark Davis -  Stayed February 2014, User Rating: 5 Stars

Very private and sheltered - very close to tennis courts shops and bike tracks. Fantastic for families and the pool is great . Will be back . a_macd - Stayed January 2014, User Rating: 5 Stars

So relaxing...........although in the middle of Hawea, it felt like your own space. Such a great layout, especially with younger kids. They were so well entertained by trampoline, space and pool that it gave us a great holiday. House is a great layout, awesome indoor/outdoor living. Will be back. mmacd Stayed January 2014, User Rating: 5 Stars

We stopped off in Hawea while on a trip around NZ from London and really enjoyed this great little find. The Lakehouse was the prefect place to chill out for a while and enjoy some time away from the mainstream tourist spots. Great location, plenty of space and walking distance to pub, lake, and shops. Great BBQ!!. SinUK Stayed January 2014, User Rating:  5 Stars

What a sensational property. Great find for the value and perfect for families and large groups. We stayed here in early Jan on a holiday from the UK. Our pommy kids didn't know themselves... jumping on the gigantic trampoline, swimming in the pool and running around a section that's at least an acre. Plenty of parking for boats and cars, 1 min stroll to shop, and 2 mins from the pub. This is New Zealand at its very best, relaxed and comforting. We can't wait to return again for many years to come. odnz Stayed January 2014, User Rating: 5 Stars

The size of the house and section meant that children were not seen or heard - fantastic! This house is right in the heart of Hawea and the short walk to the pub and shop meant that nothing was a bother. Heaps of parking also. I could go on, but swimming pool, great flat section for backyard cricket and the lake a stone's throw away make this one of the best places we have stayed as a family. - sausagefingers Stayed December 2013, User Rating: 5 Stars
